World Migratory Bird Day

Join bird lovers from around the world for a live, participatory weekend exploring migration through observation, conversation, technology, stories, and play.

Saturday, October 10

The Global Bird Sit

Begin outdoors, near a window, or wherever you can meet the morning for a guided sensory-led bird sit. Then we'll widen our view using eBird, BirdCast, and global flyway resources to explore bird migration in motion around the world.

Stay for Sunday, if you want, October 11

Migration Stories Game Gathering

Bring your Wingspan board for a playful morning of birding, conversation, and story-sharing inspired by birds from across Wingspan's global expansion packs.

Your registration includes:

  • Both live Bird Migration Gathering experiences

  • Immediate access to The Gathering Place, our online space for conversation before and throughout the weekend

  • Discussions exploring migration technology, field practices, observations, and stories

  • Replay access to Saturday's Global Bird Sit

10% of registration revenue supports Environment for the Americas, one of the global partners behind World Migratory Bird Day.

Come as you are, from wherever you are. Let's notice what's moving—and experience migration together.
