Stories in Flight. Where bird lovers connect across cultures through the rhythm of migration.

Transform the Way You See The World

Your birds don't stop at the edge of your region–and neither should your connection.

From your home to the rainforest or the tundra, the birds you love carry stories that connect us all.

Be part of a membership designed for wonder, meaning, and belonging.

When we follow birds, we don't just observe the world–we enter it.

You love birds. But sometimes, does it feel like you're birding alone?

Birding is full of awe, but it can also feel isolating.

  • You wish you could share your sightings and reflections with others

  • You wonder who sees your birds when they leave your neighborhood, and what those people experience

  • You long to connect across regions, not just inside your local circle

Birds migrate. Their stories can, too.

We understand what it means to want more from birding.

Founder Kelly Miller began birding with a simple question:

"Would I feel differently about the birds outside my window if I knew their names?"

That moment sparked a journey across flyways and friendships:

  • Leading dozens of groups through the wilds of Botswana and Zambia

  • Living for three months in Brazil, immersed in birds, language, and culture

  • Building Follow the Birds as a place where migration meets meaning

Today, Kelly curates a global space where bird lovers connect––season by season, story by story.

A membership that moves with the birds–and with you

A Little About Me

Kelly Miller, Founder and Community Curator.

My favorite migrating bird is the Black Swift. I first spotted this wide-eyed marvel behind a waterfall in Ouray, Colorado, near my home. As fledglings, they take their first flight straight off a cliff-face, through cascading water, and soar over 4,000 miles to the Amazon rainforest—a place they’ve never been.

Just days after meeting the Black Swift, I too was moving sight unseen to Brazil.

The Black Swift doesn't just migrate—it carries my story too. 💗
